Bleeding Cuts & Wounds: How To Stop Bleeding & First Aid


Cut or severe bleeding emergency




If a person gets cut with a knife or gets an accident and start severe bleeding you should do the following:
  • Check the size of the cut.
  • Check the location of the cut.
  • Check the amount of bleed.
  • Remove any cloth around the wound.
  • Firstly apply the pressure on the wound.
  • If there is any object in the wound don’t pull it out of the wound.
  • If there is a small cut on the finger then clean the wound with simply the tap water.
  • Apply any antibiotic to the wound to prevent any bacterial infection.
  • Cover the wound with a gauze or a clean cloth.
  • If the cut is too wide or big then get stitches.
  • Keep an eye on the wound so that there may be not any bacterial infection or any pus.
  • Take a tetanus shot.
